By bridging the battery management system (BMS) with the broader power network, this cable ensures accurate charging control and comprehensive system monitoring.

When connecting the Exotronic Axion battery range to a Victron GX device, standard communication is critical for optimising battery health. This dedicated CANbus cable allows the GX device to receive vital battery data, including individual cell voltages, current control limits, and overall voltage control parameters. This ensures the Victron equipment charges the battery bank within strict operational limits, enhancing system stability and longevity.
Custom Pinout Configuration
It is important to note that this is not a standard ethernet network cable. The Exotronic Axion system utilises a specialised pinout that cannot be substituted with an ordinary RJ45 lead. The cable is pre-wired to correctly map the CAN-High, CAN-Low, and Ground connections between the two distinct systems. To integrate the equipment, only a single cable is required per Cerbo GX and Axion battery bank connection, rather than one per individual battery module.
