Direct Ethernet Connectivity

Unlike traditional RS485 energy meters that require additional USB interface cables, the EM24 Ethernet model simplifies installation by connecting directly to a local area network (LAN) via a standard RJ45 cable. This allows seamless communication with Victron GX devices, such as the Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX, over the existing network infrastructure. By eliminating distance limitations associated with serial cables, the Ethernet connection provides greater flexibility when positioning the energy meter relative to the central control system.

Versatile Integration

While primarily designed for three-phase systems, the EM24 is also capable of monitoring single-phase configurations. It is typically installed at the main distribution board to measure total grid exchange, but it is equally well suited to measuring the AC output of a PV inverter or dedicated AC loads. Once connected, all data is relayed to the GX device and visualised in the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal, providing comprehensive insights into energy generation and consumption patterns.
