The Votronic Tank Level Sensor FL 5530 uses advanced capacitive measuring technology to deliver accurate, real-time fluid level data for fresh water, waste water, and grey water tanks. Unlike traditional float or pressure-based sensors, this system operates independently of tank pressure, eliminating false readings caused by overpressure, pressure filling, or sloshing during transit. Designed for both short-term and continuous operation, the sensor provides a linear 0–2.2 V signal output proportional to the tank level (0–100%), ensuring seamless integration with compatible Votronic display units and control panels.

Flexible Installation for Metal and Plastic Tanks

The FL 5530 supports top-mount or side-wall installation, with an adjustable probe length that can be cut to fit tank heights from 30 cm to 100 cm. The included stainless steel conductor and flexible cord probe allow precise positioning, while the watertight screwed cable gland ensures a secure, moisture-resistant seal. Suitable for aluminium, steel, stainless steel, and plastic tanks (up to 8 mm wall thickness for plastic), this sensor adapts to a wide range of tank materials and configurations.

A cleaning opening is required for installation, and the sensor module’s compact, sealed design (IP 67) withstands frost, moisture, and underfloor mounting conditions—making it suitable for problematic locations such as exposed chassis-mounted tanks.
