DESCRIPTION
Streamline Your Power System with the Victron Lynx Distributor M10
Managing high-current DC distribution in modern off-grid, marine, or recreational vehicle power systems requires precision and safety. The Victron Lynx Distributor M10 is a modular, high-capacity DC busbar engineered to connect batteries to your wider distribution network. Rated for a continuous 1000A, this unit provides a highly robust, centralised location to manage your power connections safely and efficiently.
By upgrading from standard wiring methods to a dedicated distribution block, you reduce the risks associated with messy cables and unsecured connections. Standard generic busbars often lack the capacity to handle heavy loads, which can lead to excessive heat buildup and voltage drop. The heavy-duty tinned copper busbars inside this unit resolve these issues, ensuring optimal current flow and enhanced resistance to corrosion, even in harsh coastal environments.
Intelligent Fuse Monitoring
Troubleshooting blown fuses in a complex battery bank can be time-consuming and frustrating. The Lynx Distributor addresses this by incorporating active LED fuse monitoring. When connected to a Lynx Smart BMS or Lynx Shunt VE.Can via the included 40cm RJ10 cable, the system illuminates LEDs above each of the four fuse positions. If a MEGA fuse blows, the corresponding indicator instantly alerts you to the exact location of the fault.
Furthermore, when integrated with a smart system, you can monitor the status of your fuses directly from your smartphone or tablet using the VictronConnect app. This level of visibility ensures your power system remains manageable and faults are rectified quickly.
The M10 Advantage: Future-Proof Connections
A common consideration is the difference between older M8 models and the current M10 version. The Lynx Distributor M10 features larger M10 connection bolts on the left and right sides. These upgraded terminals accommodate the heavy-duty lugs required for high-capacity battery banks and large inverters. The internal fuse connections remain M8 to perfectly suit standard MEGA fuses (sold separately). This configuration makes the M10 the recommended choice for building scalable, future-proof power architectures.
Compact Dimensions and Modular Design
Space is often at a premium in caravans and boat engine rooms. Measuring exactly 290 x 170 x 80 mm, the Lynx Distributor dimensions maintain a compact footprint while offering massive power handling capabilities. The modular design allows you to bolt multiple Lynx components directly together, creating a seamless, professional-looking power distribution board without the need for additional linking cables.
